Amid reports fuelled by fanatical Twilight fans, MTV has confirmed that they will broadcast a one minute sneak peek of the highly anticipated Twilight sequel, New Moon, at this year’s Andy Samberg hosted MTV Movie Awards, which will air live at the ceremony on May 31. The New Moon news had first been reported by Entertainment Tonight, which was one of the few media outlets, that got exclusive Twilight coverage of New Moon while the production recently filmed in Vancouver, BC.
The highly anticipated New Moon clip will be presented by the Twilight Saga stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, all of whom grace the recently released official poster for New Moon. Although the MTV Movie Awards is one of the year’s most popular televised ceremonies, there is little doubt that fans of the Twilight franchise will be tuning in for one specific reason.
With New Moon slated for release on November 20, 2009, the second film in The Twilight Saga has already become one of the year’s hottest search items on the internet, as fans fuel the demand for more news on the biggest supernatural love triangle since Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her two vampire admirers.
Although New Moon is still six months away from theaters, with the third installment in The Twilight Saga, Eclipse, set to begin filming in the fall of 2009, there’s no slowing down for the Twilight train and its legions of fans on the New Moon tracks of love. MTV will undoubtedly see a major spike in its ratings for one New Moon minute, which will be a Twilight testament to the power of vampire prowess both on and off the screen.
The MTV awards will air on May 31, 2009 at 8pm EST.

i cannot wait for the New Moon Movie. I am a 56 yr. old woman that has fallen in love with the entire Twilight Saga and has read all 4 books written. Some times i read them over and over again. This love story between Bella and Edward is awesome. I hope that these two actors continue to work together to keep this love story alive. Kristen and Robert are so great together. Nobody else could actually present to the story the chemistry they have together. Robert is so romantic and so mysterious that adds so much flavor to this love story. I cannot wait to see Eclipse. Edward and Bella together again. They truly cannot be apart. When he left her in New Moon, i felt her pain. I really did not want her to hook up with Jacob. They are not a romantic match!
i agree with your comments on the books, i am such a twilight fan and cannot wait for new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn, i am a 51 year old single woman and look forward to seeing the bella and edward love story come to life,. i praise stephanie meyers for writing those books and putting such wonderfull whole some stuff in there, especially family values and loving of family and protection of family. i am glad to be able to view all the updates of the twilight saga. keep em comming. !!
