New Moon Movie

It’s a bit of a long story but it’s so worth reading.

Hello my new friends – I have a story for you.  One of those good stories that you smile about and remember.  Also one of those stories that seems so perfect, you think there had to be some cosmic force at work!

About a week ago I was waiting in an airport in Seattle to head to Austin, Texas for SXSW – one of the biggest music festivals in the world!  Of course, I was excited for the warm weather, for the sunshine, and most of all to be inspired by the thousands of musicians there to share their passion.
As I was waiting for my flight, I walked past a book stand.  There it was, “Twilight”.  The anti-pop culture part of me thought, “No way” but curiosity won this time. 
I thought it would be a good way to kill time on my 14 hour commute.  It ended up being the perfect escape.  I madly flipped through the sexy pages feeling slightly awkward for the plane passangers beside me.  I of course was drawn to the character of Edward.  His desire to protect.  His desire to love, no matter the cost.  It appealed to every feminine part of me and was a perfect travel companion.
I finished the book on the way back to Vancouver and was sad to read the last page.  I was of course eager to see the movie.  This is how I was introduced to Robert Pattinson – of course I had seen him in tabloids and knew he was this huge heart throb…well now I know why.  He captured Edward beautifully.  His gaze, his intensity.  I laughed at how easily I had become a fan and how out of the ordinary that was for me.
So I started posting humourous comments on my Twitter – you know how Edward and I are vampire soulmates.  I joked around with my friends about it.

This is where it gets interesting…

A few days ago, after I finished the book and was playfully posting about it, I had a video interview posted on the Toronto Star website about my Canadian Tour Kick off Show.  As I finished watching my interview, I noticed my interview had been somehow linked to another interview…it was of Robert Pattinson.  I smiled at the coincidence.
The next day I had an article published in a widely circulated paper here in Vancouver called 24 Hrs.  They were promoting my upcoming Junofest show (The Junos are the Canadian Grammy Awards).  I flipped open the page to my interview and who is on the page beside me?  Robert Pattinson.  I laughed out loud this time.

Then the best part…
Last night I was at a Juno Afterparty at Richards on Richards (a fantastic live music venue in Vancouver).  I’m hanging out upstairs and I look over…it’s Robert Pattinson.  I couldn’t believe it!  I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out how to say hi and what I could say that wouldn’t sound crazy.
I walked over and he was saying to another girl, “I can’t do that.  I can’t do that”, so I pulled up beside him and said, “What can’t you do Robert” and he said, “I can’t take pictures tonight”.  So I leaned over and said, “I don’t need a picture of you.  You’re just a normal person trying to have a good time.  I’m just happy to have this moment with you.  Sometimes people want a piece of you, more specifically, a piece of Edward.  I’m happy to be meeting you.  At the end of the day, you’re just like me.”
At that point, he pulled me into an warm embrace and said in my ear, “You are the first person to say that to me all day, thank you.  Honestly, thank you”.  I said, “You’re welcome.  We’re the same”.
I told him about how I was a performer, so you never know, maybe he’ll be at a show someday!
In the end it was lovely to meet the man who so well depicted the character so many people love.  I can tell you two things:
1)  Even though Robert is not Edward, he has the same intense stare in real life.  It took me off guard.
2)  He smells lovely.  The stinky thing is a bunch of tabloid garbage.

Somehow, my meeting with him got posted on Robert Pattinson websites because I have had over a thousand plays of my music today and it’s only noon!
I have received countless messages and twitter adds.  Thank you!
If my meeting with Robert introduces you to my music, then this is even more cosmic than I ever thought possible!

At the end of the day, this story is about my music and about how it seems that all of this was meant to happen.  How I was meant to pick up that book, how I was meant to have all that press published, how I was meant to be at that club last night, and how I was meant to meet you.

I hope you enjoy my music and that it communicates with you.  This is my passion and is what I breathe each day for.  The thought that over 4000 people have heard my music today makes my heart beat fast…almost as fast as my heart beated while flipping those pages.

These days, you can’t look at a gossip rag or website without finding some new — often outrageous — story about Robert Pattinson, the red-hot star of ‘Twilight.’

When we talked to Pattinson in anticipation of his upcoming film ‘Little Ashes’ (in theaters May 8, 2009), we decided to get the sexy 22-year-old’s take on a few recent headlines.

1. I heard that you follow all the online gossip about yourself?

I read that and thought it was such bullshit. I was like, “God, I sound like such a loser!”

2. So it’s not true?

Well, I do sometimes. I used to a lot more before and then … I only look at the negative stuff. I just want to know whoever’s saying negative stuff, and I just want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book. [Laughs]

3. Is it true that you took a fan out for dinner?

That is true, yeah.

4. Is it true that, I don’t know if you saw this, but a source on the set of ‘New Moon’ said that you don’t smell good, that you don’t shower?

I haven’t even been on the set yet!

5. You know the same thing went around about Zac Efron a while ago; that he doesn’t shower.

Really? He looks like he smells really good [laughs]. I also do shower.

6. I also read that you got hit on the head with a sign while you were filming?

You know, that is the most … I actually got told about that this morning. It’s like, “What?” It’s the most boring story.

7. I just watched a Ryan Reynolds video interview and he called you “dreamy” and said he’d love to work with you.

[Embarrassed laugh] Really?

8. Is there anyone you’d love to work with?

Ryan Reynolds! [Laugh] … I’ve always wanted to work with Benicio Del Toro, I think he’s amazing. And there are tons and tons of people …

Good to see the big guy end all these funny rumours floating about. I mean who comes with the idea that he got hit in the head by a sign whilst filming? Can’t get an interview with him so just make something up seems to be the trend at the moment.

Millions of girls would love the opportunity to kiss Robert Pattinson.

They dream of being Bella Swan and meeting Twilight heart-throb Edward Cullen.

Robert was recently asked by Amazon whether it was more complicated filming the fight scene or the kissing scene.

Rob replied: “Probably the fight scene to be honest.

“I’ve kissed a lot more people than I’ve had fights with.”

Rob couldn’t answer properly when he was ask if he was more passionate about music or acting.

He said: “It depends. I’m very strict with myself when I’m doing jobs and stuff and I don’t really accept things that I think are going to be silly and pointless but with music you know you can mess around a lot more.

“I think music’s easier to get passionate about because it’s just a natural thing, you have to work really hard to build up something for an acting job.”

ROBERT PATTINSON has denied reports of an accident on the set of TWILIGHT sequel NEW MOON – calling stories of him sustaining a head injury during filming “completely false.”

The British actor was said to have been shooting in Vancouver, Canada when a gust of wind tore a metal advertising sign from its post, hurling it through the air and into Pattinson’s head.

But a spokesperson for the star insists reports about him being involved in a nasty accident are unfounded.

The representative says, “This story is completely false. Robert has not been injured in any way and no version of the story ever occurred.”

Man, who comes up with this stuff? I’m always skeptical of media presses about the Twilight cast, someone is always wanting to make up “good” stories. Luckily Rob’s spokesperson squashed this rumor pretty quickly. Else, everyone would be checking out which hospital Rob got sent to!

Small town word-of-mouth paid off for five Ucluelet teens who are major fans of the Twilight Saga film and book series Friday.

Laura Timmermans, 17, and four of her friends went to Pacific Rim National Park Thursday and Friday to scout out what they heard was filming of New Moon — the second installment of author Stephenie Meyer’s four-part series about a vampire who falls for a girl in a small Oregon coast town.

“We got there and saw the trailers and the crews and they told us it was a commercial and a documentary,” said the Grade 12 student at Ucluelet secondary school, where Twilight devotion splits the class. “Finally, someone was like, ‘Yeah, it’s New Moon.’”

New Moon is currently filming in and around Vancouver but locations have been top secret to avoid hordes of screaming fans storming the stars and set. A recent casting call for small roles in the $50-million film drew hundreds of fans to Victoria and Vancouver, several of whom broke into tears when they were turned away.

Timmermans and her friends hung around the set Thursday and spotted two of the film’s stars, Kristen Stewart, 18, and Taylor Lautner, 17, coming up a trail from the beach.

“They looked like they were filming the scene where Bella [Stewart] almost drowns because they were wet and wrapped in towels,” she said.

On Friday, the girls’ persistence paid off when Stewart and Lautner came out to greet them.

“[Stewart] came out of her trailer and said, ‘Hi guys, I’m Kristen,” recalls Timmermans, who teased the stars about being ill-prepared for the wild and wet West Coast weather. “I asked them where their gumboots were and they laughed … They had on nice Converse [and] Reeboks and designer jackets.”

Lautner, who Timmermans described as “100 per cent as cute in person,” offered to pose in pictures for the friends.

Timmermans’s friend Jillian Edwards, 16, said she was impressed by how friendly the teen stars were. “Kristen was so friendly and polite,” she said. Stewart told the group if it was up to her they could come watch the filming on the beach, but the area was secured by off-duty Mounties volunteering on the two-day shoot in exchange for a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock — an annual fundraising cycling trip from Victoria to the north Island.

Timmermans and Edwards are hopeful the Twilight crew will be back on the Island during filming, which continues until the end of May. “They said the sun came out and they didn’t get all the shots they needed,” said Edwards.

Joan Miller, film commissioner for Vancouver Island North, was mum on details of more filming in the area.

“Of course, we’d love to have them back,” she said, adding that the cast and crew wrapped Friday and left the area Saturday morning.

The area was almost the setting of the first Twilight film, which grossed more than $70 million US, but a high Canadian dollar sent the production south. “We scouted locations for them, but in the end it’s a business and they chose not to film here. Now things are different with the economy and we’re very happy to attract these kinds of productions, which go out of their way to take care of the environment they’re working in.”

Not everyone in the Tofino area was pleased with the blockbuster’s choice of location and timing of filming. Bill Fend, owner of Tofino’s Long Beach Surf Shop, said closing the national park’s main parking lot to accommodate the film on spring break weekend was bad planning.

“The park is supposed to be for everyone at all times,” he said. “To close part of it during spring break and Whale Festival — which lots of tourists come for — shows a lack of planning and professionalism.”

Those girls were super duper lucky to meet Kristen and Taylor, especially without having thousands of fans screaming in the area. Must admit, the weather looks miserable, but hey, might just be the extra touch for the New Moon Movie, we’ll see!

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke had a unique method to determine Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s compatibility before casting them in the vampire epic: She had them kiss for their audition.

The director, who is currently promoting Twilight: The Director’s Notebook, says that she made sure to watch the two swap spit before signing them to the roles of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

“[During casting] I did the whole scene in my bedroom to be sure that these two people had sparks,” she tells Life & Style. “Are they intense? Are we going to believe it and love it?”

“I said, ‘Yes, we really want you to kiss. I want to see if this works,’” she reveals. “Because at the end of the day, if it just doesn’t work, then it’s not going to work for the whole movie. So I made them go ahead and kiss, and the sparks did fly!”

Did they ever. Pattinson and Stewart are currently filming Twilight’s sequel, New Moon, in Vancouver.

Hardwicke, however, won’t be a part of the project. She passed on the opportunity to direct New Moon. The director admits that she is “sad” not to be working with the two actors whom she says have managed to remain “grounded” despite the intense media scrutiny.

But Hardwicke shouldn’t feel too bad about bowing out of the series. At the very least, with her unusual auditioning practices, she’s no doubt provided Katy Perry with a few ideas for her Operation Kiss Kristen Stewart campaign.

Wow, didn’t know that one!  I can imagine the awkwardness both Robert and Kristen would have had at first. I mean how many directors ask you to kiss during an audition? Not that I am against it .

“The cast members of Twilight have promptly reheated their on-screen passion on the set of the movie’s sequel, New Moon,” Life & Style claims this week in a cover story that takes an inside look at the lives of Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson.  “We went through a lot together, so we feel very close,” says Kristen about her co-star Robert Pattinson.

But the magazine seeks to take the situation more in-depth and claim tha it also “seems like more than mere friendship as Kristen blushed uncontrollably when asked about kissing Robert at a recent news conference. “We all get along so fantastically, and we all have such great chemistry,” co-star Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, told Life & Style.”

The online preview also mentions,” But with Robert taking a smaller role in the sequel, new leading man Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) threatens to divide this cozy twosome. “Jacob and Bella are best friends, and I know Taylor takes it very seriously in terms of forming that connection with Kristen and making sure that it’s authentic,” Rachelle Lefevre, who plays villainous vampire Victoria, tells Life & Style.

“I don’t think he’s competing with Rob; I just know that he’s going to be sure that his relationship with Kristen is just as intense and has just as much chemistry.”

Taylor is pretty serious about it all, I mean you do not go to the gym upon hours on end just to impress the ladies (well… ). He was dead certain on getting the role of Jacob Black, which he managed to do so successfully . With his passion to be  in the New Moon Movie, I reckon we’re going to be seeing some pretty hot stuff on screen. Don’t you think?

It’s seems someone has managed to get video footage of the house being built in Vancouver that is of course Bella’s House! No one knows the exact location, except of course the author of the video. So please don’t ask me or anyone the address, else the creation of the New Moon Movie will be delayed because of fans turning up on set, which they do not want. We want this movie to look spectacular right ? Here’s the video:

has uploaded a video of what everyone most people seem to think as part of the New Moon Movie. It’s rumored to be Jacob’s Shed that is to house the dirt bikes in the movie. No actors was seen on the set, just designers and painters. Whatever the project is for, it just may have something to do with new Moon Movie.
